About the Market & Wine Shop
We opened our doors in 2006 as a gourmet market the likes of which the Outer Banks had never seen, with Prime and natural meats, in house roasted deli meats and plenty of imported and artisan specialties. What we quickly found was that our guests were not only appreciative of top quality foods and gourmet ingredients, but were especially drawn to all the things that came from our open kitchen. And so over the years, we added seating, a wine bar (and a lot more wine), an outdoor oyster bar, and finally an inside oyster bar, and made the switch to full service lunch and dinner. But at the core of it all are great ingredients. So even though we made it official with the name change from Coastal Provisions Market to Coastal Provisions Oyster Bar & Wine Bar Cafe, you can still shop the retail butcher, seafood counter, deli and cheese for those great foods to take home. Or better yet, join us for lunch and dinner in the comfort of our dinning room, wine bar, or oyster bar.
Full Service Butcher: Like days of old, you can actually see and talk to the person that cuts your steak. You'll also hear from our experts what makes our natural meats and prime steaks 'a cut above' the rest.
Fresh Seafood: We source only the highest quality seafood, many from local waters. We'll soon be your only choice for seafood with our impeccably fresh fish, ready to cook crabcakes, seafood salads, seasonings and sauces.
Seasonal Produce: Our experts hand-select the freshest, ripest, tastiest fruits and veggies we can get our hands on, many from local farmers.
Chef-Prepared Foods: Our skilled chefs can do all the cooking for you and your family with a scrumptious array of foods prepared daily. It’s like having your own personal chef!
Specialty Cheese and Delicatessen: From imported and farmstead cheeses, pate, old-world salumi, olives and antipasti, you'll find just the right delights for entertaining. We also offer the tastiest deli meats, many of which we cook ourselves.
Wine & Dine: We've collected an assortment of libations to compliment our foods, and satisfy just about any taste and pocketbook. Chef/owner Dan Lewis is also a certified sommelier through the Court Of Master Sommeliers, and is happy to help with your wine selections. And with more than twenty wines available by the glass or half glass from the wine bar, anytime is time for an impromptu wine tasting.
